dwelling in transition

Being present with change?

dwelling was born of a deep desire to create learning community based in relationship. I wanted to build spaces and offerings where we could center our vision on relationship-centered earth medicine. I wanted to shape spaces where our networks of connection and support could thrive.

So many people contributed to this building. In our first year of invitation, teachers Amber Brown, Itiyopiya Ewart, Eze Okoye, Amber Katie Vie, and Eileen Schaeffer Brantley offered their brilliance for our initial cohort of earth medicine visionaries. Since then, Rose Fairley joined the team in leadership and became co-owner of dwelling School. It’s difficult to quantify the voices of students and participants who have influenced our collective and the abundant ways their wisdom has impacted the ways we speak together about earth medicine and the depth and breadth of our experiences. I am so grateful.

dwelling is shifting in a big way. I am drawing the offerings that are close to my heart home to root deep, and Rose is doing the same with Plant Friends. It is bittersweet as so many endings are, but I am so happy to dwell in this shift with gratitude and celebrate every opening that comes. There will be more offerings with root deep — classes and medicine for home and place and consultations, online and in person soon — and more writing and more fiber and textile medicine too. It’s tricky to navigate such dramatic change, but it’s an honor to do it with such wonderful people and such potent medicine too.

Thank you.

This community has nourished me, dwelling, and the learning we do together in so many ways. Thank you for being and for all of the ways you share your medicine. I will be forever grateful.

with big love,
